Barack ‘n Roll!

A Rockin’ Fundraiser in San Francisco to support OBAMA ‘08!

Thank you, volunteers!

These last few weeks we’ve been sending all the money we raised at Barack ‘n Roll to men & women of all ages who have traveled by bus, car, plane & motorcyle across the country to support Obama.  We’ve been incredibly inspired by the stories of their canvasing, getting people out to vote & talking about change.

As this election draws closer, now less than 48 hours to go, I know we’re all on the edge of our seats. I’ve talked to a lot of people over the weekend & today who are feeling pretty anxious. So much is riding on this & although in our hearts most of us believe it’ll be a landslide of a win… I know we’re all holding our breath until we know it’s for real.

Here are some of the emails we have received. Please know, if you were at Barack ‘n Roll, or donated through our website, this gratitude is directed to all of you as well! We’re in this together.

“Thanks SO much for the donation! I just received a notification from PayPal you sent $200, which will cover my rental car. Thank you!! It’s such a tremendous help to me.”

“I looked at your website, and fundraising with a concert was clearly an amazing idea… it’s wonderful that the money is getting out to traveling volunteers!”

“I just got back from a VERY rough day of canvassing here in Cleveland - I was feeling kinda gloomy and I found out about your donation! (Overall the responses were positive - getting a narrow majority for Obama - just the few really mean or scary people are sort of demoralizing!) So I feel much better now! Thank you again!”

“Just wanted to say thank you so much for your support! Am doing Florida voter calls today and will hit the road for voter protection and GOTV next week.”

“I am almost speechless right now. I am so blown away that this was not only a possibility but so easy and generous that I almost don’t know how to say thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. I am planning on working my butt off all week long and taking tons of pics and videos for you all, so you will definitely have lots to share with the other women. I just spoke with my friend in OH and he said “this is a great investment, I’m going to put you to good use. Make sure you get a lot of sleep beforehand! :)” So, from the bottom of my Obama-loving heart, thank you thank you very much. I’m excited to share more with you all when I get back.”

“This is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for organizing this to help anxious volunteers like myself… This comes as such a welcome and delightful surprise. I’m thrilled everyone is working so hard in every which way to make this happen.”
